This 8 hour program provides level 1 certification as a Game Master of Tabletop Role-Playing Games for general gaming settings. Multiple genres, game systems, and settings covered.

Course ID: TRPG-GM-1-100-01

Focus: All (Layperson, Education, Healthcare).

Total Training Hours: 8 Hours (1-2 sessions)

RPG Formats Included: TRPG

Total Rate (local): $960 (max 4 trainees).

Rate (teleconference): $1,500+ (max 4 trainees) *.

Rate (on-site distant): Negotiable / RPG Trailer.

Number of Trainees: 1 to 4 trainees per session.

Prerequisites: TRPG-2+ certification.

Post-training test: Yes (multiple-choice, fill in the blank, matching, short essay).  Require 90%+ test score to receive certificate.  Certificate is valid for 5 years, or can be renewed with CEUs.

Training Certification Received: Game Master Level 1 in Tabletop Role-Playing Gaming (GM-1-TRPG). Certificate is valid for 5 years, or can be renewed with CEUs.

Details: This program is available to both laymen and established professionals.

This program includes (times are approximate guidelines):

  • Background refresher and RPG advocacy.
  • Overview of typical styles of games, and various approaches for creating and GMing adventure scenarios.
  • Multiple game systems covered, including: Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, The One Ring Role-Playing Game, Star Wars RPG, Call of Cthulhu RPG, and others.
  • Multiple settings covered such as Greyhawk, Middle-earth, 1920s Earth, and others.
  • Iterative hands-on interactive guidance running a group of 1 or more players through one or more various pre-generated "standard" adventure scenarios.
  • Iterative processing about participants performance.
  • Coaching creation of first short module based on above experience.
  • Short play through with 1 or more players of created modules by participants.
  • Iterative processing about all topics covered.


Note: Training can be delivered either as one day-long (8 hour) session, or 2 half-day (4 hour) sessions. All training must take place within a contiguous 2 week period. 

* Teleconference training may require additional software installation, software licensing, and hardware configuration before training begins.

Everything has moved to our new website at Our program offerings have also been updated on the new website. Enrollment is currently full for both our online and in-person courses. We will be enabling enrollment for new students for the 2019 instructional year no later than February 1st 2019.
